Player of the week

Player of the week is someone who works hard in practice, has a positive attitude, builds their teammates up and shows respect to the coaches, fans and teammates. They are the first ones back from water breaks and are holding the ball instead of bouncing it when the coach is talking. They make eye contact with the coach and try to the best of their ability to do what the coaches ask of them.  If there is a game that week they play with intesity, know the plays and work hard on offense and on defense.

 Basketball 3 on 3

 

We were in the championship game! But we were the ones losing 1-3 with only two minutes left my heart beat felt like it was going one thousand miles an hour. Our coach aka my dad told us to go in for the layup and get fouled.
 
 So I’m here at the wing ready for the pass when it got to me I snuck around the girl the that was guarding me and they passed me the ball but the other team is smart they left their player and guarded me. When I went in hard for the layup of course they fouled me.
 
So I’m at the free throw line with sweaty palms and nervous to shoot the ball but  had to shoot it at one point or the other. After I shot the ball I saw it spinning in the air, it was right on the money. When I heard the ball swish it sounded like the waves washing on the shore but we were still behind by one point and it was their ball. Then Kali stole it right away and she shot another layup and she got fouled too!  You could see the excitement on her face when she made the shot  with only 17seconds left. We were screaming and jumping with joy! The game was now tied.
 
So we head into overtime.  I took the ball out on top, passed to Kailey on the wing. Kailey bounce passed to Kali in the post. Kali spun around, shot and got fouled. She was at the line to win the game in overtime. We were sooo nervous. Kali's shot hit the front of the rim rolled around and went in! We won! So that was the end of the game! Awesomness!
